I am now on my third week of Insanity and feeling great. Today was Fit Test 2. The fit test exercises beat me up. I gave it my all and saw some nice improvements. I’m doing measurements and weight tomorrow.

Day 1 – The fit test The first thing I noticed on the fit test was this program is intense. After the warmup I was already covered in sweat. I came very close to puking during day one and this was just the fit test.

Here are my results. I counted each movement as a rep (left leg 1, right leg 2, etc.)

Switch Kicks: 100
Power Jacks: 45
Power Knees: 75
Power Jumps: 20
Globe Jumps: 7
Suicide Jumps: 10
Push-up Jacks: 15
Low Plank Oblique: 50

Obviously I did much better on some of those exercises than others, but the point is to improve each time.

Day 1 Measurements – All measurements were taken relaxed and non-flexed

Weight: 210
BMI: 25.6 (using an online calculator)
Body Fat%: 23.42% (using an online calculator)
Neck: 15.5
Chest: 42
Waist: 38.75
Hips: 40

The next fit test is March 2.

Day 2 – Plyometric Cadio Circuit Again this workout lives up to its name. It’s intense and it’s INSANE. I was actually glad to see the people in the video getting tired during this workout. It made me feel better about crashing during some of the exercises. I loved the repetitive circuit training.

There were a couple of new moves, but overall it’s the same few exercises repeated with more intensity. The workout flew by and I felt amazing when it was done. Tomorrow is Cardio Power and Resistance.

As far as the food it’s a simple plan and I have great help from my wife planning out the meals. I’m used to eating 5-6 meals a day, so there are no adjustment there. I like that I don’t have to eat a big breakfast like with other plans I’ve tried. On Day 1 I started getting hungry early for lunch and afternoon snack, but today I was already adjusted.
